Sunday we went to go see To Rome with Love. I have always been a Woody Allen fan. Unfortunately alot of his more recent films have been absolute rubbish (examples like Melinda and Melinda). Last years film Midnight in Paris was wonderful and I am happy to say I was not disappointed in this years.
To Rome with Love follows the story of several people in Rome. One is an American girl visiting Rome and her colorful parents. There is a common worker that wakes up and finds himself famous. (His story line was one of my favorites because of the meaning and the importance "famous" people in society). Another character is a Funeral director that has deeply hidden dreams of being an Opera star. The Final main character is an architect that is revisiting his past 30 years ago when he was a young student.
It was a great film and I can't wait to add it to my collection. Good Job Woody Allen

5 Year Engagement
So I saw a movie tonight. I like Jason Segal and i've really liked Emily Blunt ever since Young Victoria. I have to say, instead of the Five year engagement they should have called it feels like five years of your life you will never get back.
I think I was drawn in by the preview. The preview was all the best snippets of the movie, ok thats not quite true. I really liked the ending and not just because it you know, Ended. The entire middle of the movie was just long and pointless. Also not to be a prude, but all the constant sex was just not necessary. Or the language. I'm ok with the language, unless its constant and has no point. I really felt that it didn't fit and they were just saying it to say it.
In conclusion if you have urges to see it, just watch the preview and go rent a good movie

Welcome Back Movie Fans!
So long time see.. also my bad. I have not been watching as many movies lately. My very little free time has been being taken up by Walking Dead, Dr Who and Raising Hope. Also I recommend all of the above. I did FINALLY on Sunday watched a movie. I'll admit I have wanted to watch it for Alan Tudyk, whom many of you will know from FIREFLY. Anyways, here you go.Tucker & Dale vs Evil is not your typical horror movie, its more a gore movie but well its freakin Hilarious. Premise is that Tucker & Dale are big hillbillies that are a little misunderstood. College Kids (yes they refer to the whole group as college kids) believe that the hillbillies are trying to kill them. So the body count piles up, but not because of crazed hillbillies. Its very funny, some of it gets a little far fetched but still funny.
**Spoiler Alert that my fellow browncoats would agree with me on**
Towards the end when Tucker is all beat up leaning against a tree, I was dying to here him say "i am a leaf on the wind, watch how I soar" and actually while i'm on spoiler alert here. I loved when the guys are talking to the sheriff and the sitting down to tea.
******
Anyways worth a laugh and its freakin Alan Tudyk!! Watch it, you know you want to

The Muppets!
For my Birthday this year I took my nephew to see The Muppets. I must admit that I don't remember alot about the muppets. I vaguely remember watching the muppet babies and I had this amazingly awesome Muppets Commadore 64 game, but I don't remember the movies. With that being said... I really liked it. All the cameo appearances were great and it was fun to pick the people out. I think that its a good movie for the whole family, Silly stuff for the kids while still having jokes for the adults. Mild spoiler here** I was very amused with the Jimmy Carter reference.

Another Lame-o scary movie
Tis the season for crappy horror movies. We recently watched Session 9. Apparently Shy and I have come to an unspoken agreement to watch a movie before the new episode sunday nights of Walking Dead (short plug here, so far really digging walking dead, season one is out on video with only 6 ep so its easy to check out). Unfortunately the agreement seems to be just scary movies.
We had a rocky start with Session 9. Netflix played it for us but not with the sound anywhere near when people were actually talking. Luckily Amazon had it on instant watch (possibly unluckily, it was lame) I will sum it up quickly, crazy man killing everyone without noticing that he is doing it and that if we let the evil voice in it will help with the crazy.
There is nothing i could say to make this movie interesting. It just dragged on and on and on, like a zombie that won't die. Speaking of Zombies, Walking dead, tell your friends.

Oops
So Apparently the couple updates done from my phone, never actually updated. So Sorry. With Wintereen coming up There should be actually some real updates. I admit though part of the delay comes from my 55 hour work weeks and the fact that my hp computer is a piece of crap. (word to the wise never get an Hp.. Ever)
Anyways Short update. Tonight we knocked out a classic and horror movie in the name of the Halloween Weekend. The Exorcist! I can sum this up easily. While yes, it is considered a classic so it is important that I finally watched it, I was bored. It had a few creepy moments, the girl was gross and creepy. It took FOREVER to get anywhere. and **spoiler Alert*** It had what every 70 and 80's horror movie. Green goo, demons, heads spinning, death and like every demon movie the priest at the end can't handle the pressure and asks the demon to take him instead and DIES.
If it wasn't for watching the Tv show Walking Dead, the night could have been a bust :)
*also no pictures, no one wants to see that
